Peer Support
International Student Supporter
Degree-seeking international students who have the Japanese language ability allowing them to sit for courses conducted in Japanese will be paired with an International Student Supporter for a first-year class focused on academic skills that is required for all students. Japanese students will support international student’s Japanese language skills with course readings, presentations, and assignments. Moreover, all degree-seeking international students will be welcomed and supported by a CIC student from orientation on as they acclimate to college life in Japan.
Buddy System
International exchange students will be partnered with a Japanese student who will help them with their use of Japanese as well as on-campus and daily life needs. This Buddy System is especially helpful during the first few weeks from orientation to the start of classes.
