One of the appeals of the college is that our classes bring together people from a variety of cultural backgrounds, enabling students to get a real understanding of the communication they are learning by actually applying it. As a faculty member, I myself often discover new things through the students, from how to use social media to the way communication is taught in different countries and regions. This creates relationships of mutual learning.
University life should not be limited to classes and activities on campus but should also involve students taking on challenges and stepping outside of their comfort zone. Please communicate with a wide range of people and get a real understanding of the variety of values, roots, and lifestyles that exist out there.
